Insurance FAQ

Q: What insurances do you accept?

A: We accept all PPO insurances. We do not accept HMO insurances.

Q: I have PPO insurance, but I couldn’t find your office on the provider list. Does that mean that I can’t use the benefits of my insurance if I want to come see you?

A: Our office is considered “Out-of-Network” for PPO insurances.  PPO insurances do reimburse for services that are out of network, which is one of the great benefits of having PPO insurance. Many PPO plans will still fully cover preventative treatments such as exams, x-rays, and cleanings for out-of-network providers. Our fees are very reasonable and with the addition of our 10% cash discount, the out of pocket cost to our patients is very competitive for treatments not fully covered by our PPO insurance. Please call our office if you would like to know the breakdown of your benefits before the day of your appointment, as all plans are different. We would be happy to help you.

Q: So, I can pay in cash and get 10% off, even if I have insurance?

A: Yes, we offer a 10% discount for services if paid the same day of treatment with cash. The claim will still be filed with your insurance, and the reimbursement will go back to you.

Q: What do you mean by the terms deductible, percentage covered, and yearly maximum?

A: A deductible is what your insurance requires a patient to pay prior to any benefits being available. For example, if you have a $50 deductible, that $50 must be paid out of pocket prior to getting any other benefits. For percentages covered, every insurance plan has different coverages for different types of treatments. A typical example of coverage is 100% of preventative treatment (exams, x-rays, cleanings), 80% of basic treatment (fillings and other small restorations), 50% of major treatment (crowns, root canal treatments, deep cleanings, etc). Some insurances use our fees and some insurances use their own standard fees to base calculations for co-payments. The yearly maximum is the total amount the insurance will cover for a 1 year period. To learn the specific details and coverage for your own plan, please do no hesitate to call us.

Q: I don’t have insurance and I also am concerned about my limited finances. Do you have any payment plans?

A: Yes, we understand that budgeting may be important, so we offer 10 month interest-free payment plan for our patients. Please contact us for more details on the terms and conditions.
